The “Environmental Projects Implementation Unit” (EPIU) State Agency is an advanced institution mandated to ensure successful implementation of environmental projects derived from national strategic priorities. With its comprehensive project portfolio and experience, EPIU supports governmental agencies, communities, private sector agencies and other stakeholders to overcome vulnerability and gaps focusing on climate change mitigation and adaptation practices. The agency is accredited by major multilateral climate funds as the Adaptation Fund and Green Climate Fund and has a wide network of international partners (including UNDP, IFAD UNEP, FAO, SIDA, APVA, ADB, EBRD, GIZ, WB, GEF and other institutions).
